COVID-19 & the ADA: Maintaining Healthy & Compliant Workplaces
This program will cover how to best guide businesses in ADA compliance when responding to COVID-19’s effects on health in and out of the workplace. The program will focus attention on recent EEOC guidance that incorporates both CDC best practices and ADA requirements. In particular, the program will discuss conducting health checks and the use of PPE in the workplace, what to do if an employee comes down with COVID-19, how to administer FMLA and other leave, and responses to mental health issues resulting from the pandemic and quarantine. This CLE will empower business and employment advocates to understand the EEOC guidance, spot issues before they arise, and avoid liability for their clients.
