Some may think that having a toxic boss is the worst kind to have, but is an indifferent boss any better? An indifferent boss can be just as bad for your career as one who contributes to a toxic work culture. Like others, in-house counsel must actively manage their own careers and not rely on others to guide the way. Toxic bosses and indifferent bosses are not going to help you get to where you want to be.
