WASHINGTON, September 19, 2017 – World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim released the following statement about the recent natural disasters in Mexico and the Caribbean:
“Our solidarity goes to the people of Mexico, especially to all of those affected by the two powerful earthquakes, as well as by hurricane Katia, that have struck the nation in the last 12 days,” Kim said. “Our thoughts are also with the victims of hurricanes Irma and Maria in the Caribbean. As we continue to assess damages, we stand with all of you and offer our full support to help in the recovery.”
