Case of Prince’s Estate Kicks Off as Administrator is Settled

When Prince died last month, news surfaced that the pop star hadn’t written a will before his death , a detail that could spell trouble for the unraveling ofhis estimated hundreds of millions in assets.

But who will get to play manager in all the divvying?

On Monday, a judge made it official, reaffirming that Bremer Trust National Association will do the honors.

The news came at a “routine” probate hearing that lasted about 10 minutes and ended with the judge appointing the Bremer Trust as the Prince estate’s special administrator. That’s according to Kyle Christopherson, a spokesman for the Minnesota judiciary. ...
