Fresh off a rebound financial year in 2014, Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson announced Wednesday its hire of a new litigation chair in James “Jamie” Wareham from DLA Piper, the global legal giant that made its soon-to-be-former partner a $5 million man after hiring him from Paul Hastings a little more than four years ago.

April Fools’ Day was Wareham’s last day at DLA Piper. He was unavailable to discuss the reasons behind his decision to leave the global legal giant for Fried Frank, but did provide a brief statement expressing his excitement in joining the firm.
