Blank Rome Adds Ex-McGuireWoods Chicago Leader to Young Office

Blank Rome has hired M&A lawyer Craig Culbertson away from McGuireWoods to work at its less-than-a-year-old Chicago office.

Culbertson has represented clients in the oil logistics, trading, aerospace, food and beverage, finance, and steel manufacturing industries.

He is joining a Windy City office that Philadelphia-based Blank Rome launched in June with the hire of a four-partner team from Katten Muchin Rosenman. Kenneth Ottaviano, a distressed transactions attorney and former member of Katten’s board of directors, led that team, which also included Karin Berg, William Dorsey and Paige Barr Tinkham. The office now lists seven attorneys.
