Senior Manager of Lateral Partner Recruiting

For the New York Office of a Well-Known Wall Street Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Handle each lateral Partner candidate's progression throughout the interview process, including integration;
  • Proactively source candidates using market data and internal intelligence to capitalize on potential recruiting opportunities;
  • Keep abreast of market intelligence/trends and law firm news; that present opportunities for talent acquisition;
  • Work closely with Firm leadership to identify Partner-level hiring needs; develop job descriptions and execute recruiting strategies to best fill these needs;
  • Schedule meetings for candidates, collect feedback and serve as the liaison between the Firm, candidates and search firms; coordinate LPQ process, conflicts checks, background checks and other due diligence;
  • Oversee on-boarding and integration efforts and check in on a regular basis with new Partners, as well as with the various administrative departments and respective business unit/s, to ensure a smooth transition to and seamless integration at the Firm.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelors' degree required; 8+ years of recruiting senior and or partner level candidates in a professional services organization, preferably at a law firm;
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications (oral and written) skills and the ability to gain the confidence of others, as well as build and maintain strong relationships both within and outside the Firm;
  • Ability to sell the Firm; must have professional presence;
  • Strong business acumen; a strategic as well as a creative thinker;
  • Proactive, a positive attitude, high energy and sound judgment, particularly with respect to handling of confidential information;
  • Must have a sense of urgency; ability to prioritize as well as manage conflicting priorities.
