Worker driving city truck allegedly crashes into her own parked car, then files damage claim against city

A Minnesota woman wants the city of St. Paul to pay her at least $1,600 in damages because a municipal worker driving a delivery vehicle struck and damaged her parked car.

Fair enough.

Yet there’s a wrinkle in this case. The woman who owns the damaged parked car happens to be the same parks and recs worker who was driving the van that did the alleged damage.

“I think I can safely say this is a very unusual claim,” says city clerk Shari Moore, in a story reported on the website TwinCities.Com.
