San Francisco Partner Lindsay Romano Named Co-Chair of Gordon & Rees Health Care Practice Group

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani San Francisco partner, Lindsay Romano, has been named as co-chair of the firm's Health Care practice group. She joins Denver partner, Tom Quinn, in this shared leadership role.

Gordon & Rees' national Health Care practice group represents and advises general and specialty hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, continuing care retirement communities, acute psychiatric hospitals, residential behavioral health facilities, and other health care providers. The group's experience includes malpractice, elder abuse, contract, class action, fraud, compliance, reimbursement, False Claims Act, and HIPAA matters. Gordon & Rees lawyers have notable experience in successfully defending physicians in medical malpractice lawsuits, state licensing, grievance and disciplinary proceedings.

Romano's health care practice focuses on providing a full range of services to her nationwide industry health care clients including litigation and regulatory issues, as well as any other legal or employment matters that may arise in the health care space.

In litigation, Romano's expertise is defending her clients in high exposure, complex claims. She has defended claims ranging from allegations of wrongful death, sexual and physical abuse, and catastrophic injury, trafficking, and medical device products liability claims from onset through trial. She also represents clients related to regulatory claims and issues, HIPAA and CMS compliance, and administrative state and federal investigations, including U.S. Congressional inquiries.

Romano also works closely with her clients to develop policies and procedures, conducts in-service trainings, contract and business agreement review, public relations and marketing consultations, including media training and press release statements, as well as developing claims handling and risk management strategies.
