Cahill Litigation Team Prevails on Behalf of Credit Suisse

A Cahill litigation team prevailed on behalf of Credit Suisse in defeating a shareholder derivative suit brought by plaintiffs alleging that Credit Suisse and other defendants breached their fiduciary duties and engaged in civil conspiracy in connection with the Bayer’s $66 million acquisition of Monsanto. On December 27, 2021, the Supreme Court of the State of New York dismissed all claims against Credit Suisse and other defendants on forum non conveniens grounds, due in part to the tenuous connection between the litigation and New York.
