Everstone Group Appoints Attorney Pratibha Jain as Group General Counsel & Head of Corporate Affairs

Pratibha Jain, founder of the Delhi office of Nishith Desai Associates will join the legal team of the Private Equity and Real Estate Investment firm Everstone

New Delhi: Pratibha Jain, head and founder of the Delhi office of Nishith Desai Associates joins Everstone Group as the Group General Counsel and Head of Corporate Affairs 

Birthed in 2006 by Atul Kapur and Sameer Sain,  the Private Equity and Real Estate Investment firm Everstone manages assets over $5 billion across private equity, real estate, green infrastructure and venture capital. They command a large institutional platform and a team of over 350 experienced professionals based in Singapore, India (Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru), London, New York and Mauritius.

As the founder of the Delhi office of Nishith Desai Associates (NDA), she leads the M&A and Private Equity practice there. Jain also brings with her, a breath of International and Indian experience, having worked with Sullivan & Cromwell in New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Hong Kong and Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong, and Mumbai. 

Jain's experience is informed by the challenging projects she has worked on in the financial services and regulatory sector, including her work representing the Ministry of Finance for the structuring of India's first quasi-sovereign wealth fund with a proposed corpus of over six billion and structuring of SWAMIH fund, government's $3 billion-plus debt fund for stalled housing projects and listing of Bombay Stock Exchange. Recently, she advised foreign investors in their investment into Reliance Retail and Reliance Ventures.

Her educational qualifications include a BA in Economics (honours) and an LLB degree from the University of Delhi. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Law from the University of Oxford and a Masters of Law degree (LL.M) from Harvard Law School. 

She previously received the title of the "Woman Lawyer of the Year Award 2019" at the first edition of BW Legal World-Global Legal Summit and Awards-2019.
