Pinsent Masons has revealed its retention results for the autumn.

Of 71 final-seat trainees, 68 applied from newly-qualified (NQ) jobs with the firm, and 57 have accepted offers, giving the firm a retention score of 80 per cent for the autumn 2020 round. None of the 57 are being retained on fixed-term contracts.

Pinsents is the firm with the largest qualifying cohort that has released its results to date, performing better than CMS and about the same as Clifford Chance, which published its figure last week.

The result is a typical one for Pinsents, which has consistently kept on around 80 per cent of qualifiers in recent years.
