Columbia University President Is Set to Testify About Antisemitism on Campus

NPR

Congressional Investigations attorney Christopher Armstrong was quoted in an NPR article about the upcoming House Education Committee hearing where Columbia University's president is set to testify regarding the school's response to antisemitic incidents on campus. Mr. Armstrong noted that while it's impossible to "win" a congressional hearing, there's ample opportunity to "lose" and face public scrutiny. He highlighted that both lawmakers and Columbia administrators have had time to prepare after studying the previous hearing with other university presidents in December.

"There's an upside to that, and there's also a downside. The witness has a lot more time to prepare, to think about kind of any lines of attack, but the members on the Hill have also had that amount of time, making it a bit more unpredictable," he said.
