Crowell & Moring Hires Leading Lawyer Michelle Gitlitz

Headquartered in Washington D.C, Crowell & Moring, a leading global law firm, has made an official announcement regarding the hiring of renowned lawyer Michelle Gitlitz as the chief of the blockchain and digital assets practice in the New York office of the firm. The new recruitment has grabbed the attention of the legal space as Michelle is known to be an expert in dealing with the most critical issues concerning the blockchain investments.

According to the latest reports, Michelle has joined Crowell & Moring after making a switch from Blank Rome, where she served as a securities lawyer in 15 years of her long service tenure. The intellectual lawyer was also the co-leader and founder of the blockchain technology and digital currencies group in Blank Rome.

Michelle Gitlitz has a long experience in the blockchain technology space, and her practice includes dealings in complicated cases of core areas like coin and token offerings, cryptocurrency exchanges, collaborating with payment firms, managing hedge funds, along with other crucial domains of blockchain industry like risk and regulation at federal and state level.

Philip Inglima, the chairperson of Crowell & Moring, stated in a statement that “Gitlitz’s innovative practice will be of great value to our technology and financial services clients, as well as any client launching or changing its business to adapt to emerging technology trends.” He affirmed that as Michelle has been involved in different zones of the cryptocurrency arena, she has the inherent ability to bring solutions to the complex technical issues of her clients and thereby to give stellar results in all her projects.

Gitlitz quoted that “Clients need law firms that understand these changes and can assist both emerging and established companies with implementing technological solutions in an efficient and legally compliant manner.”

Earlier in July, renowned lawyer Joshua Klayman joined Linklaters. While in October, an in-house lawyer of Blackrock and Goldman was hired by crypto firm Blockchain as its general counsel.
