Foley Hoag Attorney Tracy Roosevelt Selected as CFR Term Member

October 16, 2019

Foley Hoag LLP associate Tracy Roosevelt has been selected to join the Stephen M. Kellen Term Member Program with the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).

The CFR comprises thousands of the most prominent leaders in the foreign policy arena residing in the greater New York and Washington, D.C. areas. Membership includes top government officials, scholars, business executives, journalists, lawyers and distinguished nonprofit professionals.

Each year, a new class of term members between the ages of 30-36 is chosen to serve a five-year membership term. Roosevelt was nominated by Ambassador William vanden Heuvel, who served as U.S. Ambassador to the European office of the United Nations in Geneva and U.S. Deputy Ambassador to the United Nations during the Jimmy Carter Administration.

As part of the program, Roosevelt will participate in a sustained conversation on international affairs and U.S. foreign policy through a variety of special events, including workshops, roundtables, trips to financial and governmental institutions across the country and a week-long study trip overseas every two years.

As a member of Foley Hoag's International Litigation & Arbitration Department, Roosevelt represents sovereign states in State-to-State disputes in international tribunals, investor-state arbitrations, and U.S. federal courts.
