Chinese telecommunications company Huawei has risen to become the world's second biggest smartphone maker in recent years, but today it suffered a brutal blow.

Google has suspended Huawei from accessing updates linked to its Android operating system.

The American giant says it's been forced into the move by an order from the Trump administration, which says it's about protecting cyber security.

Critics say it's part of the trade war with China.
