Squire Patton Boggs boosts Palo Alto office

Squire Patton Boggs has strengthened its Palo Alto office with the addition of three partners to the firm’s IP and technology team.

Frank Bernstein, Vid Bhakar and Ronald Lemieux join the firm from IP boutique Singularity.

With experience in the consumer electronics, wireless and software industries, the trio have tried cases before the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), in US district courts across the country, and have argued several successful appeals before the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

In addition to IP litigation, they have experience in negotiating technology licence agreements, prosecuting patents and handling trademark transactions.

David Elkins, the firm’s global IP and technology practice group leader, said that the trio add additional depth to the firm’s USPTO adversary proceedings practice.

Linda Pfatteicher, office managing partner of the San Francisco and Palo Alto offices, added: “Their commitment to collaboration, cross-selling and a client-and-firm-first attitude match the values and culture that are central to our firm.”
