Morgan Lewis Litigation Partner Contributes Three Chapters to ABA Director’s Handbook

HARTFORD and BOSTON, June 20, 2017: Morgan Lewis partner Michael Blanchard authored three chapters in the recently released Director's Handbook: A Field Guide to 101 Situations Commonly Encountered in the Boardroom, published by the American Bar Association (ABA) Business Law Section. 

The Director’s Handbook is a comprehensive guide for corporate directors grappling with ever-expanding agendas and complex issues in the boardroom. The handbook identifies 101 topics commonly encountered by public company directors and devotes a chapter to each topic.

Mr. Blanchard’s contributed three chapters to the handbook, including “Shareholder Derivative Litigation and Serving on a Litigation Committee,”  “Dealing with a Whistleblower” and “Practical Issues Concerning the Attorney Client Privilege.” Each chapter provides basic context to the topic at hand, and concludes with a list of questions or issues that a director might consider in connection with that topic.  

Mr. Blanchard represents clients in all facets of shareholder litigation, class actions, securities enforcement matters investigations and business disputes. He is active in the ABA’s Corporate Governance and Business Litigation sections, where he is contributing in the areas of board-driven investigations, special litigation committees and securities litigation.
