The Great Resignation marked its one-year anniversary in April, and it doesn’t look like it’s disappearing anytime soon: Gartner estimates that up to 37 million Americans may voluntarily quit their jobs this year. But for those new job seekers, not all opportunities are created equal — and the ones workers are most interested in may be a surprise to employers.

Adzuna, a job search engine platform, recently analyzed over 25 million U.S. job vacancies and ranked jobs according to the highest application rate. The results show a renewed interest in public sector work, domestic help roles and academic-related careers.
