NASCAR’s all-star race is unique, to say the least.

Each year, the format seems to be a bit different. This year is no exception.

The May 22 race at Texas Motor Speedway will feature four stages over 125 laps, plus a pit-stop competition in between.

The first three stages will each be 25 laps, with major incentives for drivers to win each.

The fourth and final stage will be 50 laps.

The winner of the All-Star Race will receive $1 million.

However, this is an extremely oversimplified version of events.
