The new Microsoft Edge is deviating from other Chromium based browsers by redesigning the user interface for the Clear browsing data function. Not only are the Microsoft developers making it easier to find this privacy feature, but they are also improving the interface so all data options are visible by default.
Currently Chromium browsers include a "Clear browsing data" option that by default will clear your browsing history, cookies and site data, and cached images and files. If you want to erase other information such as passwords, site permissions, hosted app data, or form autofill information, you first need to click on the Advanced tab.
In the Microsoft Edge Nightly build, Microsoft has added a flag that allows you to enable a new user interface for Clear browsing data that removes the Advanced tab and shows all options by default. This will make it easier for more causal users to see all available options and select those that they want to clear.
This new flag The new Microsoft Edge is also making the Clear browsing data option more prominent and easier to see by adding a blue button that is first thing a user see when they go into the Privacy and services section.
Enabling the new Clear browsing data user interface
To enable the new Clear browsing data interface, you need to enable an experimental flag in the edge://flags screen.
From edge://flags search for "clear browsing" and a flag titled "Microsoft Edge clear browsing data dialog" will appear. To enable the new user interface, change this setting from Default to Enabled and then relaunch the browser when it prompts you to do so.
Once Edge has restarted, the new interface will be used for this privacy feature.

I would like to see an option to clear automatically when the browser is closed, similar to what Firefox does.

Can they make it look like IE? With file, edit, view, favorites, tools, help at the top. The way it is right now, I can't find nothing. So I don't use ME.
