Legal technology firm LexTech has launched to develop software products as business shifts to an increasingly regulated environment.

The new products will streamline legal and regulatory administration through digitisation, automation and data capture, co-founder Karl Manweiler says.

“We have the technology solutions to accelerate compliance and make businesses more efficient,” he says. 

The new firm is a sister company to Dublin’s Leman Solicitors.

Partner and co-founder Larry Fenelon said the tools will help businesses manage their legal processes, commenting that at least 40% of existing legal jobs are vulnerable to automation.

LexTech “merges legal and technology skillsets,” he says. 

Filling the gap

“We are filling the gap here in areas such as contract management, incident reporting apps, live business insight reporting and e-conveyancing,” he said.

The business was launched on 29 March by Culture Minister Josepha Madigan who said the Government is keenly aware of the threat and opportunity presented by automation.
