Legal Industry Veteran and Author Michael Quartararo Launches eDPM Advisory Services

Consulting and Advisory Practice Centered on E-Discovery and Project Management

NEW YORK, June 14, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- eDPM Advisory Services (www.edpmadvisory.com) today announces the launch of a modern consulting and management company dedicated to meeting emerging legal technology and support services needs in law firms, corporate legal departments and service provider organizations. eDPM Advisory provides expert professional services and guidance, project management and process improvement services, and training and technology assessments centered around e-discovery, project management and legal technology solutions.

eDPM Advisory comes at a pivotal time in the industry as educational and training needs are overwhelming. Market compression and the desire for increased efficiency are driving buying decisions. Law firms, corporations and service providers need consistent processes to manage the scope, cost and risk of e-discovery projects, and the implementation of project management protocols and advanced technologies like machine learning and artificial intelligence.

“While traveling the U.S. promoting my book Project Management in Electronic Discovery, I learned that many law firms and corporate legal departments have a desire to improve their e-discovery and project management processes. I saw the need, and eDPM Advisory Services, long a dream of mine, is now a reality. I look forward to serving the legal community,” says Mike Quartararo, founder and managing director of eDPM Advisory Services.

Quartararo continues, “Any organization doing business in our global, information-driven economy has the obligation of strategically planning for – and executing on – sound, defensible processes with contemporary legal project management principles. The commitment and promise of eDPM Advisory Services are to help organizations implement appropriate cost and risk controls, as well as time-tested processes and tools to manage e-discovery and information governance.”

eDPM Advisory Services will leverage its strategic partnerships, relationships and affiliations with the most well-known software and service providers in the industry for clients.

The primary focus of the firm will be:

  • Project-based or case-related advisory services
  • Department or enterprise wide project management and process improvement services
  • Training in and assessment for project management maturity and evaluation and implementation of technology tools and resources

Quartararo is known as one of the top e-discovery professionals nationwide. He has been successfully solving client problems using technology for 20 years. He has built his career on the strategic and innovative thinking, leadership and operational skills he honed while working at the best legal organizations in the world. He has worked in legal technology and litigation support at large law firms, including 10 years at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where he managed large-scale class action securities litigations, e-discovery projects and trial preparation. More recently, as the firmwide director of litigation support at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP, he was responsible for the development and implementation of firm policy on e-discovery, information governance and technology support. He oversaw a full-service litigation support department, the development of best practices and project-oriented protocols, and the design and delivery of e-discovery and application-specific training programs. In addition, he regularly consulted with attorneys and the firm’s clients on the use of technology, electronic discovery and information governance.

Quartararo, based in New York City, will be at speaking at The 13th Annual eDiscovery Forum on June 26 to 27 in London, the 2018 NALA Conference & Expo from July 11 to 13 in St. Louis and ILTACON 2018 in August.
