Gregg Galardi, the global co-chair of DLA Piper’s restructuring practice, has joined Ropes & Gray, the firm announced on Monday.
Galardi represented CIT Group in a 2009 prepackaged bankruptcy — one of the largest in U.S. history — and has advised as debtor’s counsel in cases, including Circuit City, Polaroid and City Sports.
He joins Ropes & Gray in its New York office as a partner.
Galardi was hired at DLA Piper in 2011 from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, where he was a senior partner.
