Slater and Gordon in talks over debt restructuring

In a bid to fix its financial health, personal injury law firm Slater and Gordon has brought in management consultants FTI Consulting to discuss restructuring its debt.

Slater and Gordon, which is listed on the stock exchange in Australia, is in discussions with the consultants over debt restructuring.

Office closure

The move comes less than a week after the law firm, which is listed on the stock exchange in Australia, revealed it was considering closing offices in the UK in Failsworth and Derby. The firm said at the time the decision had come as part of a review of its property portfolio.

Hard times

The firm has found itself in the spotlight since its shock takeover of Quindell's professional services division last year and has seen its share price tumble by over 90 per cent in the past 12 months, closing at just A$0.60 last Friday. Sources: CityAM; The Telegraph
