Minority of law firms appear to have cyber insurance

Only 11 per cent of lawyers taking part in a technology survey believe that their firms have cyber liability cover, despite the fact that 42 per cent say that the IT run from their workplaces has been infected with a virus, spyware or malware.

The US survey, run by the ABA's Legal Technology Resource Center, also showed that many lawyers have no idea of their firm's practice. Less than 20 per cent of lawyers responding from firms with 100 lawyers or more had a clear idea of the true situation at their firm. Source: ABA
