Kroll Adds Cost-Saving Storage Option

Kroll Ontrack announced on Monday new cost-saving data storage options are available in its customized version of kCura’s Relativity eDiscovery review platform.

Specifically, it is changing the cost structure and ease of use of “nearline storage,” which refers to data that is not immediately accessible or active, but is more easily retrieved than archived data or data in long-term storage.

The upgrade allows users to move data subsets into nearline storage on their own without assistance from a case manager or staff. Data in nearline storage will be availablein an hour or less, whereas previously it could take a day or longer to retrieve, according to estimates by Wendy King, ...
