Littler Mendelson hires head of data analytics

The law firm is predicting that data will form a key part of its business, with a particular role in class-action litigation.

US employment law firm Littler Mendelson has hired its first national director of data analytics. Zev Eigen, who previously worked with the firm, joins from Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp and will oversee how the firm can use its specialised data on employment practices and litigation, from predictive analysis to creating solutions for clients. According to Bloomberg, Mr Eigen has a PhD in behavioural and policy sciences and has studied machine learning technology, algorithms, econometrics and data analytics. He predicts that data will have a key role in class-action litigation.
