EDRM Publishes Updated Statistical Sampling Applied to Electronic Discovery, Release 2

Input from public comment period reflected in final, updated version now available

EDRM, the leading standards organization for the e-discovery market, announced today the release of an updated Statistical Sampling Applied to Electronic Discovery. The release, published on the EDRM website, reflects public feedback from the comment period that concluded on January 9, 2015.

EDRM’s Statistical Sampling Materials provide guidance regarding the use of statistical sampling in e-discovery. Much of the information is definitional and conceptual and intended for a broad audience. Other materials (including an accompanying spreadsheet) provide additional information, particularly technical information, for e-discovery practitioners who are responsible for developing further expertise in this area. 

Release 2 of Statistical Sampling Applied to Electronic Discovery was developed by a team of dedicated EDRM members. That team includes:
