Hours rise in US firms

Both billable and unbillable hours rose in Q3 of 2014, according to a survey by the Law Firm Group of Citi Private Bank.

Total hours put in by lawyers in law firms rose 1.8%  across the US in the quarter. But most of that increase relates to unbilled time, according to Citi. Productivity is up 1% and the headcount among equity partners is up 0.4%. Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
