California State Bar sued by former head

The State Bar of California is fighting back against allegations from its former executive director that he was fired for whistleblowing.

Joe Dunn has sued the association, claiming that he was sacked after he exposed 'egregious improprieties'. The association say that his claims are 'baseless' and, because he managed the staff, 'bewildering'. Mr Dunn says that he was fired on 7 November, a matter of days after he and some colleagues had filed whistleblowing notices with their employer. He alleges 'ethical breaches, prosecutorial lapses and fiscal improprieties' by some bar officials. Source: ABA News
