Momentum continues as 17 more firms choose Advanced Legal’s ALB system
UK News

Advanced Legal logoAdvanced Legal has announced a strong second quarter in 2014 with 17 firms signing-up to its practice and case management system (PCMS), ALB, during the period April to June 2014. ALB is a fully-integrated practice and case management system designed to help legal firms efficiently manage their clients, cases and documents.

The quarter has seen firms of all sizes and locations moving to ALB and the 300th firm has recently taken the system. New ALB clients since April 2014 include Graham & Rosen Solicitors, Millar McCall Wylie LLP and Parker Rhodes Hickmotts.

Graham & Rosen Solicitors, based in Hull, is migrating from Advanced’s Legal Office product to ALB including integrated workflow for client and matter inception, conveyancing and simple debts. The firm is also moving from Oyez forms to Advanced’s Laserforms with licences for 50 users.

Millar McCall Wylie LLP (MMW) is a leading Belfast-based legal firm with offices in the city centre and Ballyhackamore. It provides legal services to a wide range of corporate and private clients. MMW currently uses Alphalaw Vantage for managing accounts and bookkeeping purposes. MMW required case management software which could fulfil the central management of risk. It also needed to have the ability to create effective marketing campaigns and make collaboration on cases and documents more efficient. In addition, MMW needed to streamline its document production process and be able to access the system outside of the office.

Managing Partner of MMW, Peter McCall, felt that ALB from Advanced Legal provided the best all-round solution for the firm’s needs. He was also impressed by the breadth of solutions and services available from the wider Advanced Group. McCall explains, “One of the key selling points of ALB was that, whilst the Advanced Legal team tasked with delivering the solution was based locally in Belfast, we could also tap into the capabilities of the larger Advanced Group, which was very appealing”.

North-West firm Parker Rhodes Hickmotts is an existing Legal Office client with over 70 users across four different offices. The firm has decided to migrate from Legal Office to ALB with integrated workflow, Conveyancing Case App and Client & Matter Inception tools. The firm is also looking to implement solutions for wills and deeds, probate, marketing, accounts and civil legal aid. Realising the larger value and benefit the firm can gain from Advanced Legal, it has also chosen to move from Oyez to Laserform for its form package.

Doug Hargrove, Managing Director at Advanced Legal said: “ALB has continued to attract legal firms looking to get the most from a fully-integrated PCMS. The number of firms choosing to implement ALB with workflow also suggests that clients continue to recognise the value of automating processes. ALB’s rapid rate of adoption is a clear indication that it is the right PCMS product for the legal market”.
