DLA Piper and Bowmans are advising on the acquisition of National Bank of Kenya, the country’s first state-owned financial institution, by Access Holdings, a multinational financial group headquartered in Nigeria.
Access Holdings said March 20 it would be buying the entire issued share capital of NBK from Kenyan-based KCB Group, which took over the bank from the government in 2019.
