MISSISSAUGA, ONT. – EllisDon recently announced several new appointments to its senior management team, including a new chief operating officer and some shifts in Western Canada.

Kieran Hawe has been appointed as EllisDon’s new COO as well as executive vice president of construction operations. Hawe’s responsibilities will include the company’s core civil, buildings and industrial divisions across Canada and the globe, which have a combined revenue annually of over $4 billion.

Hawe joined the company in 2000 and has two decades worth of experience in Canada, the United States, Germany, Ireland and Singapore working on commercial, institutional and residential construction.

David McFarlane joined EllisDon in 1996 as a co-op student and has since held field operations positions and acted as director of construction management in 2004. He moved to Vancouver in 2007 to become vice-president of and area manager for the Pacific Region. He will assume the role of senior vice-president for the EllisDon’s buildings division in western Canada, while Craig Enns will take over as vice-president and area manager for British Columbia.

Joey Comeau has been appointed as the chief operating officer and executive vice-president of the capital division and will be responsible for diversification into new sectors, including private sector equity partnerships and real estate development. He will also pursue new geographic markets while continuing to work on infrastructure opportunities through public-private-partnerships. Since joining the company in 2014, Comeau has been responsible for closing 20 projects with a total capital value of over $11.5 billion, an EllisDon release stated.

Jody Becker will remain as chief strategy officer and will also take on a new role as senior vice-president of services. She will oversee facilities services, energy and digital services, project management, furniture, equipment and design and sustainable building solutions and will also oversee EllisDon’s expansion into the Middle East.
