McDermott Will & Emery hires DLA Piper partner
McDermott Will & Emery has strengthened its IP team with the addition of a former DLA Piper partner.
Christina Martini, who spent nearly 25 years at DLA Piper, will join McDermott’s Chicago office. At DLA Piper she served as chair of the Chicago IP practice.
With experience in a range of business sectors including the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries, she has served as an on-loan IP counsel for Kraft Foods and Searle/Monsanto.
Nicole Jantzi, leader of the firm’s global IP practice, said: “She has a well-deserved reputation in the legal community and a proven track-record of both leadership and the ability to collaborate across teams and practice areas.”
Martini focuses her practice on counselling, prosecution, enforcement, due diligence and licensing matters.
She said: “McDermott’s strong client-service orientation and its commitment to seamless service offerings across the globe is a terrific match to meet the always-evolving business and legal needs of the sophisticated multinational companies with whom I have the honour and privilege to partner.”
