Welsh wind project of 130 MW enters planning review
Apr 25, 2024 7:55 CESTRenewables infrastructure-focused investor Platina Energy Partners LLP has sold five wind parks in the UK totalling 70 MW for GBP 52 million (USD 68.7m/EUR 58.5m), plus the assumption of debt.
The assets were sold to entities managed by private-owned investment advisory firm Gravis Capital Management Ltd, the seller said on Thursday. It received legal and financial advice in the deal by DLA Piper and Augusta & Co.
The five wind power facilities in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland were designed and constructed by Platina Partners and have been generating power for several years now. They were commissioned between 2006 and 2010 and operate under the UK’s Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROC) scheme.
At the end of October, Platina Energy announced the sale of a 34.5-MW portfolio of solar parks in Italy in a EUR-131.9-million deal. As a result, the company will be returning more than EUR 100 million to its investors, it said.
