Sidley Hires Seven Kirkland Partners in Munich

Sidley Austin has hired eight corporate partners in Munich — seven from Kirkland & Ellis and one from Linklaters.

The group is led by Kirkland M&A partner Volker Kullmann and Linklaters head of German banking and financial restructuring partner Kolja von Bismarck, the firm announced on Wednesday.

Kullmann’s client matters, according to his firm biography, have included advising Rodenstock, a German manufacturer of lenses, and asset manager Intermediate Capital Group, on financing, mergers and acquisitions.
