Appointments: FDR Law lures Eversheds rising star & more

LAW firm FDR Law has appointed Kirsty Tinsley-Fenney, as its new commercial property partner as part of its continued investment in its commercial services division.

Tinsley-Fenney joins the Warrington based firm from the Manchester office of Eversheds.

Ranked by Chambers and Partners 2014 as ‘an associate to watch’, Kirsty recently took the lead role in the high profile sale of the SEGRO owned Project Orbital, a portfolio of six UK industrial estates to Orchard Street Investment management for £113.8m. A deal that was completed in less than three weeks.

Tinsley-Fenney said: “FDR Law has an established footprint in Warrington and the North West and is well respected for its quality of work and collective talent. INDEPENDENT engineering, IT and facilities specialist NG Bailey has appointed Paul Briars to the role of regional director North West.

Briars has moved from Rotary Building Services, based in Warrington, where has been group managing director and North West managing director since 2000.

He will now lead NG Bailey’s engineering division, reporting to managing director Mike Darlington.

Recent Bailey projects in the region include Manchester town hall and central library, Manchester Metropolitan University and the ongoing Beacon Barracks project in Staffordshire.

Briars said: “I’ve seen the impressive projects that NG Bailey has been involved in and I am keen to build on these further and lead the region’s activities to achieve the strategic objectives for the future.

LANCASHIRE law firm, TAYLORS, has appointed Peter Byrne to its employment team.

Byrne joins after 10 years with Forbes Solicitors where he was a partner and led its employment team.

Byrne, who has 20 years’ experience, said, “I am delighted to be joining such a quality commercial firm to continue with the expansion of its already-impressive service to the commercial sector across the North West.”
