Shepherd departs as Addleshaws confirms Manchester head

Addleshaw Goddard has named a new head of its Manchester office, while corporate partner Neal Shepherd has left to join PwC Legal.

Malcolm Pike, who has been a partner in Addleshaws' Manchester office for 22 years, will combine his new head of office role with his leadership of the commercial services division and work as an employment partner.

Pike said: "Formalising the head of office role is a new approach for the firm, and highlights a real commitment to our North West office and the wider business community. The North West offers a vibrant and thriving business community and through collaboration and cohesion we will be best placed to seize future opportunities."

Meanwhile, PwC Legal has announced the appointment of Neal Shepherd as partner.

Shepherd, who joined Addleshaws from DLA Piper in 2011, will be based in PwC's Manchester office and will focus on mid-market M&A and expanding the firm's reach into areas such as employment and pensions.
