Kimberly Cochran, Christopher Lizotte and Tracey Pelton have been named to the leadership team of Hooksett-based construction management and architectural firm Procon, joining managing directors John Stebbins and Jennifer Stebbins Thomas and co-presidents James Loft and Lance Bennett.

Combined, Cochran, Lizotte and Pelton have worked nearly 25 years for the firm.  Cochran is Procon’s vice president and general counsel. Lizotte is vice president of architecture at the firm and Pelton serves as vice president of marketing and business development.

Belknap County considering solar array

Belknap County has begun exploring options to install a large solar array adjacent to its county complex, a project, that would be built using American Rescue Plan Act funds,

According to The Laconia Daily Sun, county officials are weighing plans submitted by two different companies, Novitium Energy and Revision Energy. Both plans would erect a solar array to be built in an empty field just west of the county complex.

Once built, the array wouldn’t directly power the complex. Instead, the array would generate electricity to be sold back to the grid, ideally covering the complex’s energy bills and possibly earning a profit, officials were told.

Concord casino proposal approved by planning board

The Concord Planning Board has approved a proposal to build a 45,000-square-foot casino and hotel near Interstate 393 and Route 106. The proposal for the Concord Casino – put forth by Andy Sanborn, a former state senator and owner of The Draft Sports Bar & Grill in downtown Concord – calls for construction of a charitable gambling hall, hotel, restaurant and a parking lot at the site.

Milford industrial building sold for $2.85m

The sale of the 60,000-square-foot industrial building at 1 Hampshire Drive, Milford, has been sold by SBJ Real Estate Associates, Milford, to Milford Equities NH LLC, Milford. Mike Reed of Stebbins Commercial Properties LLC represented the seller and assisted the buyer in the transaction.

According to the Registry of Deeds the sale price was $2.85 million.

B2W app wins Constructech award

B2W Software, Portsmouth, a developer of estimating and operations software for heavy construction, has earned a 2023 Constructech Top Products award for its B2W Employee App. The app, introduced in 2022, allows individual employees to record labor hours, productivity, equipment utilization and other information via daily work logs on mobile phones or tablets.  The data can be combined with similar data from crew-based employees collected with B2W Track electronic field logs,  providing comprehensive daily reporting on job status, B2W said. B2W work and field logs can also transfer labor hours directly to payroll systems, eliminating lag time and redundant data entry.

Microdesk partners with LCA software maker

Microdesk, a Nashua-based provider of building information modeling, virtual design and construction  and enterprise asset management software, has announced a partnership with One Click LCA, a provider of life cycle assessment and environmental product declaration software. Life cycle assessment, or LCA, LCA is a science-based methodology for quantifying the lifetime environmental impacts of a building, and One Click LCA is designed to make the assessment easier by measuring and reducing the environmental impacts of buildings, helping to achieve green building certifications and comply with regulations.

Container Store opens first NH location

The Container Store, a national chain stores that offer  storage and organization products and services has opened in Tuscan Village in Salem its first location in New Hampshire.

It is The Container Store’s 96th retail location nationally.

AARP NH seeks Community Challenge Grant applications

AARP New Hampshire has invited eligible organizations and governments across the country to apply for the 2023 AARP Community Challenge grant program. Eligible projects help communities become more livable in the long-term by improving public spaces, transportation, housing, civic engagement, diversity and inclusion, and more.

Now in its seventh year, the program is part of AARP’s nationwide Livable Communities initiative, which supports the efforts of cities, towns, neighborhoods and rural areas to become great places to live for all residents, especially those age 50 and older. Deadline to apply is 5 p.m. March 15.

Laars to mark 75th anniversary at AHR Expo

Laars Heating Systems of Rochester, a designer and manufacturer of boilers, water heaters and pool heaters used in residential, commercial and industrial applications, will begin a yearlong celebration of its 75th anniversary at the Feb. 6-8 2023 AHR (International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition) Expo in Atlanta.
