Fenwick & West, seeking to make more inroads in the nation’s capital, said on Thursday that it has hired the founders of a government contracting law firm to lead a new general counsel and public procurement practice.

Joyce Tong Oelrich and Zohra Tejani, who ran the Tong Tejani boutique in the Washington, D.C., area, join the Silicon Valley firm as partners. The two, who have decades of experience representing tech companies in government contracting and compliance, join Fenwick’s Washington, D.C., office just a few months after it launched. The firm now has about a dozen lawyers in the office.
