An obscenity-laced, threatening voicemail purportedly sent to a client is part of a new complaint filed with the D.C. Office of Disciplinary Counsel against disbarred Washington defense lawyer Bernard Grimm.
Grimm was disbarred by consent in late 2021 after his employee was found guilty of embezzling over $300,000 from an IOLTA fund. He’s since filed a civil complaint against PNC Bank who he blames for allowing the scheme to occur, but the new complaint alleges he engaged in additional disreputable billing practices as well as abusive conduct toward former client Ranjith Keerikkattil.
