Town Attorney’s Office Implements Legal Files Case Management Software

Before deciding to implement Legal Files, we conducted research to find out what other government entities in the area were using for electronic legal management…and we all thought Legal Files was the most user friendly and the best fit for the Office’s needs.

The Town of Ramapo, New York, has implemented Legal Files Software, a legal case management system popular with government agencies, for the Town Attorney’s Office, the software’s developer said today.

A centralized Legal Files Software case management system is enabling the Town Attorney’s Office to make relevant files accessible to appropriate staff members—whether they are in the office or working remotely. The attorney file management software is used by government entities from municipalities to the federal agencies, as well as corporate and university legal departments and law firms, and the company has been in business more than 30 years.

In addition to legal matter management, the new Legal Files system is being used to assist the Town Attorney’s Office with document and email management for lawyers, calendar integration and deadline tracking.

“Before deciding to implement Legal Files, we conducted research to find out what other government entities in the area were using for electronic legal management,” First Assistant Town Attorney Alyssa M. Slater said. “Further research was conducted on those products, and we all thought Legal Files was the most user friendly and the best fit for the Office’s needs.”

As part of the project, Legal Files Software, Inc. also provided project management, implementation assistance and training to the Town Attorney’s Office.
