Leader Of Firm With $6M+ In Partner Profits Says It's Time For Biglaw To Focus On Mental Health

Brad Karp, chairman of Paul Weiss, in comments given to Bloomberg Law on the need to combat burnout and promote mental health in the legal profession. Karp says the firm has not only turned away work and pushed back on client demands in the name of its attorneys’ health and wellness, but it has also forced lawyers and staff to take vacations to decompress. Karp says he expects profits per partner at the firm to exceed $6 million in 2021.
