How Burges Salmon Trainees Used AUTTO, The No-Code Automation Platform

By AUTTO

Law firms are increasingly turning to new technology to improve client service and delivery. However, identifying the best technologies to invest in that yield the greatest efficiencies is a challenge. Burges Salmon, the independent UK law firm, has been leading the charge.

The firm has been working with AUTTO, the no-code automation platform, to trial how easily it can be used to create tools to meet changing client requirements. In our article on the first stage of this trial, we explored how trainee at the time, Alex Knowles-Smith, (now qualified and in the Pensions team), used the platform to build an automated NDA process in only three hours.

We now look at the next stage of the collaboration, which took place as part of Burges Salmon’s annual B-Innovative Week. The firm set a challenge for a group of its trainees, (37 in total), to identify where they could innovate processes to directly or indirectly support client service. Using AUTTO they were then tasked to create a prototype automation or app to achieve this.

In this video, three of the group talk about the challenge, what they developed, their experience of using AUTTO, and how automation could support them in their future roles. The discussions reveal some interesting outcomes for the legal sector.
