Going Back To The Office? How Most Employers Are Handling COVID Vaccines For Workers

South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Miami Herald, Tampa Bay Times

Litigation Partner Nathan Adams was quoted in an article assessing key legal questions for employers navigating the COVID-19 vaccine landscape. The article, which ran in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Miami Herald and Tampa Bay Times, discusses whether employers can force an employee to get vaccinated as a condition for returning to the office, if a worker be fired for refusing to get vaccinated, whether businesses can refuse to consider hiring candidates who haven’t gotten vaccinated and more.

Some workplaces fear legal challenges if they were to require vaccinations. When asked about these legal concerns, Mr. Adams said he was unsure whether there has been any sort of consensus yet. "I was surprised by the Biden Administration when they came out against the public vaccine passport. Whether this administration is going to take a different turn on mandatory vaccinations — that’s important — which is the reason a lot of private-sector employers are in limbo right now."
