A quarter of the nation’s law schools have teamed up with the American Bar Association on a five-year initiative to improve police practices.
The Legal Education Police Practices Consortium aims to develop model police practices—with an eye to issues such as police conduct and oversight. It will also work to eliminate police tactics that are motivated by race, or that have a disparate impact on particular racial groups.
