Supreme Court Will Continue Remotely as New Term Starts (1)

The justices will again hear arguments remotely when the Supreme Court opens its new term Oct. 5 and again provide livestreamed audio of proceedings, the court announced.

“The Court will continue to closely monitor public health guidance in determining plans for the November and December argument sessions,” the court said in a statement Wednesday.

The courthouse has been closed to the public since mid-March due to the pandemic and the justices heard arguments via telephone in May, livestreaming audio for the first time.
