Thomson Reuters Offers Financial Community Exclusive Commentary During World Economic Forum

Global Markets Forum, available to Eikon Messenger users, delivers comprehensive news, guest commentary and analysis in a single location

NEW YORK/LONDON Thomson Reuters will host exclusive, live news and commentary during the 2017 World Economic Forum in Davos from January 17-20 for Eikon Messenger users via the Global Markets Forum (GMF), its flagship editorial community for connecting senior global financial market professionals with Reuters news and guest commentary.

The 2017 WEF is convening under the theme of “Responsive and Responsible Leadership” with a focus on five crucial priorities including preparing for the fourth industrial revolution and revitalizing global economic growth.  GMF content will align with these themes as Reuters editors provide breaking news and quotes from WEF attendees, and commentary from both Reuters experts and high-profile guests.  The GMF is interactive, allowing participants to ask questions to Reuters and third-party commentators.  Through the Eikon Messenger Directory, participants have access to more than 300,000 users across more than 30,000 organizations in 180 countries.

Guest commentary will include a range of senior leaders from the financial sector, as well as members of the academic community and government advisors, including: Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Minister of Serbia; Li Daokui, former advisor, People’s Bank of China and currently a professor at Tsinghua University; Ian Bremmer, president, Eurasia Group; and John Studzinski, vice chairman, investor relations and business development, Blackstone.

“The World Economic Forum is the single biggest annual assembly of global leaders from business, politics and campaign groups,” said Lesli Fairchild, head of collaboration services, Thomson Reuters. “Through our Global Markets Forum, Eikon Messenger users can actively participate in the discussion, hearing from and interacting directly with the decision-makers at Davos.”
