Research, based on the replies of 211 lawyers in major US law firms, shows that 37 per cent of lawyers between the ages of 25 and 49 would like to spend more time working from their homes, even if colleagues are not approving.

Partners are slightly more likely (29 per cent) to see home-working as positive (as regards profitability) than as negative (24 per cent) in their law firms. Larger firms are more likely to allow more time to be spent working from home. The research is published in the Survey of American Lawyers at Major Law Firms: Policies on Work from Home.
